Desenzano del Garda

Lake Garda has many renowned locations along its shores: from Desenzano to Sirmione, from Gardone to Riva, here are our travel tips!

View of Desenzano del Garda

Lake Garda is visited by tens of thousands of tourists every year, both Italians and foreigners. All three shores (Brescia, Trentino and Veneto) offer not only breathtaking natural landscapes, but a true immersion in the history of these places.

For this reason, the Audiogiro team has decided to dedicate a space on the platform to the complete tour of the localities overlooking Lake Garda, with over 20 stops and an hour of listening to discover curiosities, tourist attractions, sporting events and typical culinary delicacies.

In this article we have selected 5 of them to start from: all that remains is to wish you a good trip!

Desenzano del Garda's street

In addition to its strategic location and excellent motorway and rail network, Desenzano offers many attractions to the tens of thousands of tourists who visit and stay here every year. In addition to its iconic lakeside promenade, Palazzo Todeschini and its view of the old harbour, the Roman villa, the castle and the Rambotti museum are also very famous.

Sirmione

Although many already consider it part of the Venetian shore of Lake Garda, Sirmione is actually still in the province of Brescia. The imposing Scaliger castle welcomes visitors from afar, but that's not the only thing that strikes you... the sulphurous waters of the lake make it one of the most renowned spa resorts in Italy!

Riva del Garda

A destination for thousands of water sports enthusiasts every year, Riva is a real pearl set in the Trentino shore of Lake Garda. It is striking not only for the incredible view of the lake that opens up at its feet, but also for the fortified structures that characterise it, built during the Austro-Hungarian domination of the town.

Garda

Garda is inextricably linked to its Longobard past, which also gives it its name. The symbol of the town is therefore the Rocca, situated on the hill above the town, but Punta San Vigilio, the small peninsula that closes the gulf to the northwest and is home to the Baia delle Sirene, a nature park with bathing beach, is also famous.

Gardone Riviera

Gardone is a picturesque town where Central European history and culture have left an indelible imprint. It is home to the Heller Botanical Garden, a renowned natural ecosystem with over 3,000 species of plants from all over the world, but is most famous for the Vittoriale degli Italiani, the last home of Gabriele D'Annunzio.
